BCWI BC VQA Wine Stores are continuing with the transition from “Stores on Consignment Model” to “Stores on Purchase Model” (i.e. wines bought outright by the stores directly from the wineries).
Change of BC VQA Wine tores from consignment to purchase will require revisions to the LDB Land-Based Winery Agreement for which the LDB will be communicating directly with wineries.
The transition will be done on phased-in basis over the next 3 periods (alphabetically by winery name) including the changeover/purchase of current consigned wine inventory.
Overwaitea Food Group (Stores on Purchase model) will be communicating directly with individual wineries regarding specifics.
Remaining “Stores on Consignment Model” may choose to continue the consignment model until their current operating agreements expire OR, they may choose to switch to the Purchase model after November 2016 (with BCWI approval).
If you have any questions, please contact Traci Deman (250-762-9744 ext. 105).
