March 12, 2018 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) today announced the approval of new wine label designations to replace “Cellared in Canada”, effective immediately.

Replacing the current label designation “Cellared in Canada from imported and/or domestic wines” is “international blend from imported and domestic wines”, for primarily imported wines. For primarily domestic wines, the designation is “international blend from domestic and imported wines”.

KELOWNA –Today the British Columbia Wine Institute has notified the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) that it will challenge the constitutionality of the ban imposed by the AGLC.
